One of the most influential black metal bands of all time is returning to Zagreb. Following an outstanding performance at Boogaloo, MARDUK now brings its relentless live intensity to the more intimate setting of Vintage Industrial Bar.
One of the most important and influential black metal bands of all time, Swedish legends MARDUK, are returning to Zagreb. After delivering a memorable show at Boogaloo, the band will perform on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Vintage Industrial Bar, where the smaller venue will provide an even more intense atmosphere—perfectly suited to their uncompromising live performance.
Early Bird tickets are available through the Hangtime website for €25. Once the first allocation sells out, advance tickets will cost €29, while tickets purchased on the day of the show, if available, will be €35. Physical tickets are also available at Dirty Old Shop.
Since forming in 1990, MARDUK has become synonymous with uncompromising black metal. Albums such as “Panzer Division Marduk,” “Heaven Shall Burn… When We Are Gathered,” “Opus Nocturne,” “Wormwood,” and “Frontschwein” have cemented the band’s place among the genre’s most influential names.
Their trademark combination of blistering speed, raw aggression, and dark atmosphere has helped define European black metal for more than three decades.
The driving force behind the band has always been guitarist and founder Morgan “Evil” Steinmeyer Håkansson, the only constant member throughout MARDUK’s history.
Joining him in today’s lineup are vocalist Mortuus (Daniel Rostén), also known as the founder of the acclaimed Funeral Mist, and drummer Bloodhammer, whose relentless precision has become an essential part of the band’s devastating live sound.
As part of this regional run, MARDUK will perform two concerts organized by Hangtime. The band will first appear alongside MAYHEM at Belgrade’s Zappa Barka on October 3, before heading to Zagreb for their headline show three days later.
For decades, MARDUK has been regarded as one of the most intense live bands in extreme metal. Their performances never let up, delivering overwhelming speed, raw power, and the uncompromising aggression that have defined the band since its beginnings.

Marduk is a Swedish black metal band formed in 1990 in Norrköping.
For more than three decades, the band has remained one of the most influential names in black metal. Their music combines relentless black metal aggression with elements of death metal and occasional melodic passages.
The band’s name comes from the ancient Babylonian deity Marduk, reflecting its dark artistic identity from the very beginning.
The driving force behind Marduk has always been guitarist Morgan Steinmeyer Håkansson, better known as Evil.
His original goal was simple: to create one of the most blasphemous and uncompromising black metal bands ever formed.
Throughout their career, Marduk has released 15 studio albums, including several genre-defining records:
