Alestorm return to Belgrade to unleash a storm of riffs, rum, and madness. Together with Lutharo and Roses of Thieves, they’ll turn Hangar Luke into a pirate stronghold for one wild December night. Prepare for waves of sound and barrels of chaos — the storm hits on December 5, 2025!
Alestorm was formed 21 years ago in Perth, Scotland. The group started as Battleheart, writing songs about pirates and epic adventures. They recorded several demos and quickly gained a local fan base, without knowing how far they would go.
Napalm Records and name change
In 2007, Austrian label Napalm Records discovered them. After changing their name to Alestorm, they signed a five-album contract. Their debut Captain Morgan’s Revenge (2008) instantly placed them high on the global metal scene.
Tours and major festivals
Following their debut, they toured with bands such as Turisas, Sabaton, Dragonforce and Eluveitie. Soon they appeared at major festivals like Wacken Open Air, Bloodstock, Graspop Metal Meeting and Sweden Rock Festival, winning over audiences with their unique theme.
Pirate metal and performance style
Their genre, known as pirate metal, mixes heavy metal, folk and epic melodies inspired by the sea, adventures and rum. Concerts are eccentric and energetic – full of dancing, jumping, sweat and pure party spirit.
Discography and lineup
The band has released eight albums to date. Current members are: Christopher Bowes (vocals), Mate Bodor (guitar), Gareth Murdock (bass), Elliot Vernon (keyboards) and Peter Alcorn (drums). Fan favorites include “Drink”, “P.A.R.T.Y.”, “Mexico” and “Keelhauled.”
Alestorm today
Today, Alestorm stands as one of the most famous pirate metal bands in the world. Their shows are not only concerts but unforgettable spectacles.
Lutharo returns with the album Chasing Euphoria, a fierce fusion of melodic death, thrash, and heavy metal. Building on the intensity of Hiraeth, this Canadian band pushes their sound further with brutal melodies, crushing riffs, and relentless power. Expect chaos in the pit and sore necks from headbanging when these songs hit the stage.
Roses of Thieves, the upcoming Hungarian masters of folk-punk, EDM, and metal fusion, led by the energetic Ivett Dudas, unleash a sonic storm where traditional melodies blend with electronic mischief, blazing guitar riffs, and the unmistakable pulse of the accordion. Their sound is as rebellious as it is deeply rooted in old school tradition.
