Since coming together in Dunedin in 2016, New Zealand’s Mild Orange have become a band that belongs to the whole world, building an international audience with songs that unfold like secrets shared among friends and lovers. Or, as Billboard put it: “Mild Orange have perfected the art of making music for the nostalgic.”

These indie rockers experienced an online explosion in 2018 after their self-released debut album Foreplay reached every corner of the world through YouTube – especially thanks to the singles “Some Feeling” and “Mysight.” The album was produced and mixed by frontman Josh Mehrtens, who continues to lead the band’s songwriting and meticulous production to this day.

Mild Orange have become known for their alternative blend of sun-soaked dream pop and psychedelic rock – or, as they like to call it themselves, “melting melodies” – which they bring to life in their powerful live performances. Their strong ambition and dedication have made them an increasingly present force on the indie scene, with shows across North America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa.

After releasing their third album Looking For Space – described by Rolling Stone as “the band at their lushest” – and selling out venues worldwide, from New York, Paris, Los Angeles, and Warsaw to many others, the band relocated to London, where they began working on their fourth album THE//GLOW, set to be released on August 8, 2025.
