Since 2001, musician, violinist, and composer Jessica Moss has been a profound and powerful presence in contemporary experimental music. First as a driving force of Thee Silver Mt. Zion until the legendary chamber-punk ensemble went on hiatus in 2016, and later as a solo artist with four acclaimed albums released on Montreal’s Constellation Records. She is also a sought-after collaborator on numerous projects, having worked with many artists, including the legendary Patti Smith.
Her latest releases, “Galaxy Heart” and “Phosphenes”, are ambitious summaries of her work to date: deeply emotional, expansive musical experiences that embrace post-classical music, ambient metal, Eastern European folk, drone, and a range of other traditions in between.
